What is the Asset Configuration Page?
The Asset Configuration page allows you to control how assets are recognized and used within the Dashboard. It’s the central place to define which assets exist, how they appear on tax forms and in the Dashboard, as well as how they connect to their transaction data for processing.
Every transaction in our system must be tied to a known asset. If an asset isn’t defined, we can’t interpret or process the related transactions. Proper asset setup impacts:
- Transactions - Ensures transactions linked to an asset can be processed correctly.
- Inventory - Determines how lots are created, tracked, and matched.
- Tax forms - Controls how asset names and codes appear on forms.
- Dashboard display - Defines how the asset is represented in our UI.
Please note: If the asset does currently exist within the Dashboard, it must be created prior to attempting to ingest any associated transactions, otherwise the transactions will fail to ingest, and you will need to try ingesting it again after the asset has been configured.
How to Use the Asset Configuration Page
Please see the steps outlined below for how to use the Asset Configuration page to complete asset mappings. Any assets mapped in one organization will apply to all organizations within the same company.

Step 2: Next, populate the fields within the next window.
Please note: If you have more than 20 assets that need to be mapped to your environment, please populate the “Asset Configuration Template” attached at the bottom of this guide by following this guide, and submit that template to your TC, CSM, or our Customer Experience Team via this online submission form and we will help your team with adding those assets.
